Recycling waste from roofing jobs.

Recycling waste from roofing jobs.

It’s quite often that we are found with masses of old roof coverings. In the early years all these materials were just sent to the tip not only costing our company money also impacting on the environment. Over the last two years we have started storing some of the roofing materials that are removed from old roofs these include roof tiles roof slates and timber battening which we now store at our premises. These materials are either reused on some of our repair jobs or donated to other local builders and residents. Since we started this process I can say that our stored materials is always at a minimum due to demand by local people. Over the last six months while recycling waste from roofing jobs we have also been looking into products that are supplied by one planet who run a sustainability program developed with the sustainability charity bioregional. We will be working very closely with one planet in the near future to make sure that we are doing everything as a company to reduce our impact on the environment. Please also recommend us to any friends or family that may be looking at disposing of used roofing materials as we may have other use for them rather than them being sent to the dump. We have housing contracts in place and a large amount of used roofing materials can be re used on a daily basis with in our roofing repairs. I do believe that we are all guilty of just ordering new materials every time we need to carry out works when there is a massive amount of recyclable products that can be used daily and would also allow us to save some money and more importantly not impact on the environment. We are always open to any new ideas please feel free to get in touch. We will continue Recycling waste from our roofing jobs. info@kccs.co.uk www.kccs.co.uk
